This is one of those posts where something just happened and you want to get it off of your mind, so you write about it.
Have you ever stopped and thought about what you are going to say before you actually say it? I try, but it rarely happens. Sometimes I talk so fast that I have no idea where half the stuff I say comes from. It wasn't until tonight that I realized how much someones words can effect (affect.. I don't know which one.. I'm still on my 3-yr English hiatus) the one that they are said to.
Do guys ever think about what they are saying to girls? No. They don't care half the time either. Do you think about how the things you just said are going to impact another, even if you don't to it directly? Sadly, for me, most of the time, no. You can take things too far and not even think about it. A vast majority of the time you will never know how hurtful your words were, nor how deep they pierced. The person won't let it show. So how can these people realize their mistakes and hurtfulness, I have no idea. I pray that God will help to enlighten them and me when I make this same mistake. I may not realize it at the time, but being on the receiving end, I know how much it really does hurt. I hope that I'll think more about what I say before saying it now.
"Don't let them get to you." "Crying admits defeat and shows weakness." --they all say.
They got to me. I am weak and defeated. Lord, I need strength to help me rise above the situation and to carry on.

The New Year-- 2007
The year of graduation and starting college is now upon us. Whoo-rah! I have been waiting for this year for a long time now. I cannot wait to graduate... and not it seems closer than ever. Less than 6 months. But before I graduate, there are tons of things that have to happen first. Final college choices, roommates, exams, prom, homecoming, school trips, birthdays, and the many tests I will have to take. I've made it this far, I'm sure I can handle the rest.
I tried to come up with some new years resolutions..... I only came up with a few. Marissa knows one of them (lol) but we already failed at that one. The other is to care less about a lot of things. School: I get all worried about it a lot and I'm a senior, it's the year to have fun or worry. Doesn't mean I won't study, I just won't overdue it anymore. I've quite possibly already lost the salutatorian spot by .001 of a GPA point, so oh well. I tried my best and at the end of the day, that's all that matters to me. Drama: Stop caring about it. It's old and annoying after a while. Don't let people get me caught up in all of their drama. That's a new years resolution right there. That's about all I came up with.
Can't wait to see what the new year brings......
Hope everyone had a good Christmas and a fun New Years
