Prom 2007

"A Wish Come True"

Place: Best Western Hotel in Troy

When: Saturday, April 28, 2007

I went with Alex Johnson to prom this year. After he picked me up, we met up with the others at Kelsey's house--this time there wasn't 20 some, but it came pretty close again. Then after the parents were satisfied with all the pics they had taken, we headed to the Prom place. The food was okay, but everyone at my table thought we had eaten roast beef, but days later we found out that is was actually prime rib!

The dance was a blast! Beside from the fact that it was like 100 degrees in there, we all still managed to boogie down until 11. I think that it all went by rather quickly. But I guess the saying is right, "time flies when you're having fun." If you look closely in the pic of the guys, you can see that they all got the same patterns for their tuxes (ties and all), just different colors--yup, they are so cool.

After the dance, a ton of people went back to Kelsey's to change for afterprom. We played a quick round of "Catch Phrase", and then we headed out. Afterprom was at 36 skating ring in Piqua. Both Alex and I had not been roller skating since junior high. Alex tried to act like he knew what he was doing, but ended up falling countless times. I am proud to say that I didn't fall, except once. But it wasn't my fault, I promise. Alex and I were skating side by side, and he fell in front of me and tripped me! The little goofy things like that make things so much fun. Afterprom was just as fun as prom.

After the skating was all over (around 230), many of the seniors went back to Zane's house. We played Chris' (the German) Sing Star game. (He is sssooo obsessed with it!) I suck at it, lol. But if you can't sing, then of course, it'll be bad. Around 430, Alex decided that he needed to leave cause he was tired. So he took me home and I drove my car back to Zane's. Then the whole gang road tripped it to Waffle House for breakfast. After that everyone was sssoo tired (especially Marissa who slept the whole way there and back). So I finally checked into my bed at 630am.

It was my last high school dance. I am thankful that I had a great friend to go with, and a lot more great friends to spend it with. I liked getting all dressed up for one night of fun, but never again. Although, I do believe I'll get to do that once more now....the girls and boys played a wiffle ball game the other night. The losers had to make the winners a home made meal. Let's just say, we lost. So the girls turned the dinner into a formal one, hehe. So now everyone has to get dressed up again! I don't know when this will go down, but we'll see.
